The latest update for Marvel's Spider-Man 2, a PlayStation 5 exclusive game, has fixed a major error that was spotted by players. The flag inside and outside Miles Morales' apartment was initially of the wrong country—Cuba—instead of Puerto Rico, reflecting the nationality of Morales and his mother, Rio. Developer Insomniac has corrected this with an update and issued an apology while committing to better accuracy in the future.

In addition to the flag mix-up, patch 1.001.003 fixed a bug that in long playing sessions turned Spider-Man into a cube and improved the game’s stability. Other general fixes include correcting an issue where models would not load properly after long play sessions and dimming the brightness of The Amazing 2 Suit's Spider logo.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 has set a record as PlayStation's fastest-selling game ever, moving 2.5 million copies in just 24 hours. The game continues to attract interest and discussion, from the hidden fate of an absent villain to scientific analysis of whether Spider-Man should take fall damage.

Despite the success, the game has received slight criticism for an unnecessarily large and repetitive New York City open-world environment. Nonetheless, the game seems to strike a balance, refining the familiar aspects of gaming like combat and its signature web-swinging to new fun heights.
