In response to fans' concerns on Threads, Gunn explained that these leaks were anticipated and won't reveal any significant plot details. The movie, previously titled Superman: Legacy, will feature a variety of DC heroes and villains and is set to premiere on July 11, 2025. Pivotal characters include David Corenswet as Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern. Other notable characters such as Mister Terrific, Hawkgirl, and Metamorpho will also appear. This film marks the beginning of the rebooted DC Universe's Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters.
