Jared Leto has made history by becoming the first person to legally climb to the top of the Empire State Building. The event was part of a promotional activity for his band, 30 Seconds to Mars, and their upcoming world tour, as well as a personal bucket list achievement. The climb, taking Leto from the 86th to the 104th floor, was confirmed by building officials as a legal first.
The actor-musician used the opportunity to express his views on the potential of human achievement, referencing his band's latest album. Leto's climb, which took 20 minutes and reached almost 1,300 feet, challenged him more than expected, requiring significant endurance and stamina. This isn't his first climbing endeavor, as he previously attempted to climb Berlin's Hotel De Rome without a harness. After the Empire State Building climb, Leto humorously suggests that his next 'climb' will be into bed—a well-deserved rest after such a daring feat.
