CD Projekt has rolled out Cyberpunk 2077 and Phantom Liberty Patch 2.02, containing numerous quest and gameplay corrections along with other general enhancements. The patch, accessible across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S, takes care of the biggest issue around the Phantom Liberty and Update 2.0 variant of CD Projekt's sci-fi game: rebalancing the timers in courier missions.

As part of the Phantom Liberty expansion, players often find a car that needs to be driven from a new Dog Town area to another part of Night City. However, the distances generally don't align with the time limit, and the mission occasionally gives players just 30 seconds to drive across the massive map.

Some of the Patch 2.02 notes include rebalanced time limits for Vehicle Contracts, fixed collision issues in various locations, and the visibility of quests that were simulated as completed in the Journal. The patch also made it easier to pick Jackie's guns from the altar in El Coyote Cojo and fixed a problem where a placeholder pop-up would be displayed on Xbox Series X|S under certain circumstances.

In the gameplay department, some weapons were rebalanced according to player feedback. Crafting specs for Iconic weapons will now vanish after crafting the item, and bullets now correctly deal damage when shooting through glass. The patch also fixed the ability to easily acquire Tier 5 Skill Shards early in the game by adjusting their prices.

Other fixes and improvements include optimizations, performance improvements, crash fixes, and console-specific updates. Phantom Liberty arrived on September 26, with Update 2.0 implementing its groundwork a few days prior. This update significantly changed Cyberpunk 2077, introducing a new perk system and better AI.
