Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Pushed Back to February 11

Aug 15, 2024 1:05 PM

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has officially been delayed, now set to launch on February 11, 2025. This announcement was made in an Embracer Group financial report, subsequently echoed by Warhorse Studios in a fan-focused video. While the game was originally scheduled for a 2024 release, the developers emphasized the need for additional polish to meet their high standards, making the new date close to the anniversary of the original game's release. The delay aims to ensure a better gaming experience and was accompanied by assurances of more details to be revealed soon, particularly at Gamescom.

Why was Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 delayed?

The delay was mainly attributed to the development team’s desire to ensure a polished and high-quality game. Warhorse Studios stated that they needed more time to deliver the kind of experience players expect, which resulted in moving the release to February 2025.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a critically acclaimed RPG known for its historical accuracy and immersive gameplay set in the medieval Kingdom of Bohemia. The sequel aims to continue this tradition, building on the successful elements of the first title while introducing new features and enhancements for fans eagerly awaiting its arrival.

Delays can be a bummer, but it's always better when developers take the time to polish their game rather than rushing it out the door. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 sounds like it’ll be worth the wait if it means we get a richer, more immersive experience come February 2025

Delays can be a bummer, but when developers prioritize polish over rushing out a game, it usually pays off in the long run. February 2025 could be the that way for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 – better to have a refined experience than a buggy launch
