The Kingdom Hearts: Missing-Link mobile game has a teaser trailer from Square Enix, revealing a release window for iOS and Android users in 2024. The story revolves around the player character traveling to Scala ad Caelum in the astral plane after the events of Kingdom Hearts Union χ. A unique gameplay mechanic involves world travel without leaving home and collecting character pieces to gain specific powers.

The publishers are also conducting a recruitment drive for beta testers in Australia and the UK for the closed beta test of Kingdom Hearts: Missing-Link, set to commence next month. There are only 3,000 available positions, with an equal split between Android and iOS owners. The deadline for closed beta applications is November 19. Testing for the iOS version will run from November 29 to December 8, while the Android version's testing phase is slated for January 2024.

Kingdom Hearts: Missing-Link was announced alongside Kingdom Hearts 4 at the series' 20th anniversary celebration in 2022. Square Enix describes the game's story set in "an unwritten era." It involves characters exploring Scala ad Caelum and societies that were forgotten, providing a missing link between the Union χ era and the current one.
