Recently, a fan received a copy of Hogwarts Legacy for the Nintendo Switch ahead of its release date and shared a brief gameplay video, which was quickly taken down. Despite the removal, the footage spread online, showing the game running smoothly on the platform. Previously, only screenshots of the Switch version were available to the public.
The Hogwarts Legacy game for the Switch was initially announced in March 2022 but has been delayed multiple times, moving from a July 2023 release to a November launch. The game was already a commercial success on other platforms, with impressive sales figures and a positive critical reception, despite controversies surrounding J.K. Rowling's views.
The leaked video showcased the player character running and casting spells, with no performance issues evident in the short clip. This glimpse is particularly notable as the developer and publisher have not released any Switch gameplay footage despite the game's availability on other consoles.
Hogwarts Legacy is set to officially release for the Nintendo Switch on November 14, following its successful launch on other platforms earlier in the year.
