Turok 3 Remastered saw an unintended early release on the Nintendo Switch EShop in Europe and Oceania, due to last-minute scheduling conflicts. Nightdive Studios, known for its remasters and the System Shock remake, announced that due to an error with Nintendo of Europe's release schedule, the game went live before the intended November 30 release date despite efforts to delay and include the latest patches.

Players who purchase Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion Remastered currently will encounter various bugs and missing quality-of-life features, with issues such as game crashes and missing invincibility and other cheats. Nightdive Studios is aiming to fix these issues with a patch targeted for a mid-December release, stressing that the current eShop version lacks a warning about these problems.

The remastered version of Turok 3, originally a Nintendo 64 title, is part of Nightdive's efforts to revive classic games. With the studio’s recent success with Quake 2 and System Shock, they’ve indicated that Turok 3 may be the final installment in their remaster series for the Turok franchise. Gamers looking forward to a polished experience will have to wait until the full release on all platforms or until the forthcoming patch is released to fully enjoy Turok 3 Remastered without technical issues.
