The developers behind "Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2", The Chinese Room, have unveiled the main character for the upcoming game - a 17th-century vampire named Phyre. The Elder Kindred, as Phyre is classified, can be fully customized by players from gender, clan, clothing choices and more. The game is set in Seattle, 2024, with Phyre awakening from a century-long sleep and trying to navigate a world that is drastically different from what they remember.

Along with Phyre, players will interact with a voice named Fabien, a modern-day thinblood vampire from Seattle inhabiting Phyre. The character serves as a guide, informing players and the protagonist about 'Vampire: The Masquerade's extensive lore. Choices made, both in the present and regarding Phyre's historical background, will significantly impact the world and the progress of the storyline. Developers also indicated the narrative would be fluid and players wouldn't be confined to playing as purely good or evil.

The game scheduled for a release date in Fall 2024, will also introduce "real-world" characters, and the details about clans in the game are set to be the next reveal. The gameplay is expected to revolve around political ties, survival, battles, and maintaining secrecy from humans while operating under the Vampire's laws - The Masquerade.
