"Marvel Daredevil Hires Netflix Punisher Producer as Show Director"

In response to Disney's decision to effectively reboot 'Marvel's Daredevil' series, a new showrunner has been announced. Dario Scardapane, previously an executive producer on 'The Punisher', will be heading the new writing team

The decision for change follows departing writers Chris Ord and Matt Corman. Directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, known for their work on 'Loki Season 2', have been selected to direct the remaining first season episodes

The original concept for 'Daredevil: Born Again' was announced at the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con and was expected to be more of a legal procedural with Charlie Cox, who portrays Matt Murdock, not appearing in costume until the fourth episode

However, the show, which was slated for Disney+, had to be put on hold due to a writer's strike. Ord and Corman were subsequently released from the project, leading to the reshuffle

Disney is currently revamping its process for creating shows, moving towards a traditional production model to enhance its offerings on Disney+. 'Daredevil: Born Again' is expected to tap into the cult following of the Netflix show and will feature during the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Phase 5. However, no release date has been confirmed
