Matthew Perry, widely recognized for portraying the character Chandler Bing in the hit television series Friends, has passed away at the age of 54. He was found dead in his Los Angeles home, with no immediate cause of death given. Law enforcement officials have ruled out drugs and foul play, while investigations surrounding his death are ongoing.

Born in 1969, Perry began his acting career at the age of 15. Before his breakout role in Friends, he participated in shows like Second Chance, Growing Pains, Beverly Hills, and 90210. After Friends, he starred in films and shows such as 17 Again, Mr. Sunshine, and The Odd Couple.

Friends, where Perry worked alongside actors like Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer, ran for 10 seasons and is considered one of television's great series. Perry, however, also battled addiction, a struggle he delved into in his memoir, "Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing".
