Konami has officially announced the release of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2, set to arrive on August 27, 2026. This highly anticipated collection will include remastered versions of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and the previously PS3-exclusive Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. This marks a significant moment for gamers, as MGS4 has been unavailable on modern platforms since its original launch in 2008. In addition to PS5, the collection will also be available on PC, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and Xbox Series X|S. Fans can also look forward to enjoying the classic Game Boy title Metal Gear: Ghost Babel and a digital soundtrack included in the package.

Metal Gear Solid 4, created by legendary director Hideo Kojima, features the voice of David Hayter as an older Solid Snake. The earlier installment, Peace Walker, initially launched on PSP but found its way to other platforms later, making their inclusion in the upcoming collection a welcome surprise for long-time fans of the franchise. Despite some troubled aspects surrounding the launch of the first volume of the Master Collection, expectations are high for improved stability and quality with this second volume.
