The developers of the PlayStation 5 exclusive game, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, have announced that Miles Morales will be the "main" Spider-Man from now on. This decision has initiated speculations among fans regarding what Insomniac, the developer, might do in the anticipated Spider-Man 3. Following the events of Spider-Man 2, where the narrative shows a clear passing of the torch from Peter Parker to Miles, fans are now theorizing potential future storylines.

Many are speculating about another Miles Morales spin-off game, similar to Spider-Man: Miles Morales that was released in 2020. Others expect that a Venom spin-off might be in the works, as suggested by Insomniac in the past. More radical theories suggest that Peter Parker could be killed off in Spider-Man 3, representing a significant shift in the narrative.

Despite the speculations, nothing has been confirmed yet. The community will have to wait to learn about Insomniac's plans for the expected Spider-Man 3. Spider-Man 2 has proven to be highly successful, becoming PlayStation’s fastest-selling game ever over a 24-hour period, with 2.5 million copies sold in just one day.

In terms of gameplay, Insomniac has optimized and refined the successful formula of combat and web-swinging, with some new features to enhance the experience. However, the game's rendition of New York City, which was expanded but not improved, has been perceived as an area requiring a radical rethink due to the exhaustive list of largely repetitive side activities.
