Minecraft Live 2025: New Ghast, Stunning Visuals & More Revealed

Mojang has unveiled exciting new content for Minecraft during Minecraft Live 2025, announcing the first game drop of the year titled “Spring to Life” set to launch on March 25. This update will enhance the Overworld, introducing new variants for classic mobs like cows, pigs, and chickens, along with immersive ambient features such as glittering firefly bushes and falling leaves. Additionally, a second unnamed game drop will introduce a new block called the Dried Ghast, which can transform into a new mob variant called Ghastling. Players will also be able to create a Happy Ghast, which carries up to four players through the sky. Furthermore, a major visual upgrade named ‘Vibrant Visuals’ is coming, revitalizing the game's aesthetic without changing gameplay. A Minecraft Movie is also on the way, and an in-game live event themed around the movie will run from March 25 to April 7, featuring mini-games and exclusive rewards.

Players can look forward to updated biomes with warmer and colder mob variants, new ambient features, the introduction of the Dried Ghast block, and the ability to ride the Happy Ghast, enhancing their Minecraft experience with flying capabilities and improved visuals.
