Missing MultiVersus Features Set to Return Soon

Jun 02, 2024 1:48 PM

MultiVersus recently relaunched after a year-long break, aiming to address player feedback and upgrade to Unreal Engine 5. Some core features like match stats and team colors are currently missing, but Player First Games assured fans that these are in development and undergoing testing. Game Director Tony Huynh confirmed that the relaunched game would eventually include these missing features. Additionally, the relaunch introduced new characters, including The Joker, Jason Voorhees, The Matrix's Agent Smith, and Adventure Time's Banana Guards.

Why were certain features missing in MultiVersus' latest relaunch?

The features were omitted due to the extensive effort needed to rebuild screens and features to support new netcode and the switch to Unreal Engine 5. These changes required additional development time.

MultiVersus, a platform fighting game, has faced mixed reactions regarding its full launch. Originally released in an open beta, its primary draw is the crossover of various franchise characters. Despite the controversies, the game continues to evolve with new characters and improvements based on community feedback.
