Capcom recently showcased new gameplay for their upcoming action RPG, Monster Hunter Wilds, during the Summer Game Fest 2024. Following its initial reveal at the State of Play event, the latest trailer introduces an entirely new monster players will encounter. The game emphasizes environmental interactivity and cinematic battles, with gameplay appearing to evolve elements from both Monster Hunter: World and Monster Hunter: Rise. Set to release next year on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, more details will be unveiled at Gamescom's Opening Night Live in August, where a playable version will be available. The demo's availability outside Gamescom remains uncertain.

What new features can we expect in Monster Hunter Wilds?

Monster Hunter Wilds will feature enhanced environmental interaction and cinematic moments during monster battles. The new "Focus" feature will be a major element of gameplay, blending elements from Monster Hunter: World and Monster Hunter: Rise.

The Monster Hunter series, one of Capcom's flagship franchises, has sold over 100 million copies worldwide. Monster Hunter: World, released in 2018, was particularly influential, receiving praise for its open-world design and co-op multiplayer mechanics. Monster Hunter Rise, released in 2021, introduced innovative features like the Wirebug and Palamute companions, which are expected to influence the gameplay in Wilds. As anticipation builds for Monster Hunter Wilds, fans look forward to exploring how these previous elements will be integrated or evolved in the new game.
