More Free Updates for Lords of the Fallen, Plan Unveiled

Nov 07, 2023 6:54 PM

Lords of the Fallen, a sequel to the 2014 title, is set to receive an array of free updates before the end of 2023. Hexworks, the developer, alongside publisher CI Games, has outlined a roadmap that details upcoming content drops for the game. This comes after the success of the Halloween-themed Season of the Bleak event.

Upcoming updates include two more event-based content drops potentially themed around holidays, additional questlines, new armor and weapons, 12 new spells, enhanced finishing moves, and several community-requested features. Among these is a New Game Plus modifier system that promises to be a novel addition to the genre.

Studio head Saül Gascon spoke about their open relationship with the community, focusing on responding actively to player feedback and aiming to push boundaries with each game update.

The game has had a positive reception, with one million copies sold in its first ten days. Despite some performance issues and weaker bosses, the game received praise for its unique take on the Souls-like formula.

Lords of the Fallen is available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
