Mortal Kombat 1's developer, NetherRealm, has revealed a gameplay trailer for the final Year 1 DLC character, Takeda, who's set to release on July 23. Takeda, known for his bladed whips, is part of the Kombat Kids trio, showcasing various moves and a brutal fatality. The new DLC will also feature the Kameo character Ferra, previously part of the duo Ferra & Torr in Mortal Kombat X. Takeda is the last character in Kombat Pack 1, which included Omni-Man, Quan Chi, Peacemaker, Ermac, and Homelander. Upcoming Year 2 plans will be unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con 2024.

When is Takeda available in Mortal Kombat 1?n

Takeda will be available on July 23 to Mortal Kombat 1 Premium Edition or Kombat Pack 1 owners, with a general release a week later.

Mortal Kombat 1 launched on September 14, 2023, and continues the legacy of the iconic fighting game series. NetherRealm Studios has been consistently updating the game with new characters and content, ensuring it remains fresh for its player base. Notably, the series is known for its intense, cinematic combat and signature fatalities, which have become a staple in the gaming world. Additionally, a Mortal Kombat 2 movie is set to release on October 24, 2025, further expanding the franchise's reach in pop culture.

It's awesome to see Takeda rounding out Year 1 DLC for Mortal Kombat 1, bringing some whip-blade action to the mix. Can't wait to see what surprises NetherRealm has in store at Comic-Con 2024
