New footage of System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition shown

Oct 21, 2023 10:15 AM

New footage has been revealed for the upcoming release of the System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition by Nightdive Studios. The company had announced its work on an improved version of System Shock 2 back in 2019, and it is now confirmed that the game will become available for PC, Xbox Series X and S, as well as PlayStation 5. Although no release date has been provided, the latest trailer indicates that the game will be "coming soon".

According to Nightdive, the game features updates to all movies, textures, characters, and weapon models. The co-op multiplayer has also been revised for a seamless experience. The code of the original game has been integrated into Nightdive's own KEX Engine. Earlier this year, Nightdive Studios also released a remake of the first System Shock. Those who had pre-ordered that game will receive the System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition for free upon release.
