The upcoming Mean Girls musical film, which adapts the 2018 Broadway show inspired by the 2004 comedy movie, has released its first trailer. Paramount unveiled the preview on November 8, introducing the new cast. Renee Rapp stars as Regina George, having previously played the character on Broadway.

The story’s lead, Cady, is portrayed by Angourie Rice, with Auli'i Cravalho and Jaquel Spivey playing Cady's friends Janis and Damien. Christopher Briney takes on the role of Aaron Samuels, Regina's boyfriend, whom Cady develops an interest in.

Tina Fey reprises her involvement with the original film and stage musical by returning as Mrs. Norbury and handling screenwriting duties for the movie. Tim Meadows is also back as Principal Duvall. The new adult cast includes Jenna Fischer, Busy Phillips, Ashley Park, and Jon Hamm.

Despite the musical nature of the film, the trailer notably lacks any music, leaving audiences to speculate whether the studio will release any songs before the film's January 12, 2024 theatrical debut—a shift from its original Paramount+ premiere plan.
