Ninja Gaiden 4 Revealed at Xbox Developer Direct 2025

Ninja Gaiden 4 has been officially announced during Microsoft’s Xbox Developer Direct 2025, marking the return of the beloved action franchise. Scheduled for release in fall 2025, it will be available on Xbox Series X and S, PC via Steam, and PlayStation 5, with a day one launch on Xbox Game Pass. Developed by PlatinumGames in collaboration with Team Ninja, the game introduces a new main character, Yakumo, while also featuring iconic ninja Ryu Hayabusa in the story. This sequel picks up after Ninja Gaiden 3 but is set significantly later in a dramatically altered Tokyo. Additionally, Koei Tecmo has stealth-released Ninja Gaiden 2 Black, a remake of the original game using Unreal Engine 5, on Xbox Game Pass.
