Ori developer unveils 'No Rest for the Wicked' blockbuster

Unveiled at The Game Awards, this upcoming action RPG sets itself apart from the developer's previous work with a more somber and realistic aesthetic. Scheduled to hit Steam Early Access in Q1 2024, 'No Rest for the Wicked' is also expected to release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S later on.
The narrative takes place in the year 841, with the story revolving around the death of a king and the ascent of his self-centered son Magnus amidst the return of a plague known as the Pestilence. Players assume the role of a Cerim, a holy warrior endowed with special abilities and tasked with fighting this menace while navigating complex political plots. The game promises precise combat mechanics alongside an “epic saga”, and boasts a handcrafted world that should give it a picturesque quality. With about six years of development already behind it, 'No Rest for the Wicked' is described as a passion project by Moon Studios.
More details about the game will be revealed in a digital presentation dubbed ‘Wicked Inside’ on March 1, 2024. An unveiling trailer is currently available for those interested in getting a glimpse of what to expect.
