In a blog post on Steam, developer Hexworks elucidated: "From today's patch onward, when you complete your initial playthrough, you can either proceed directly to the successive NG or replay the current NG at the identical difficulty level, preserving your character and progress, but resetting the entire world, including NPCs and questlines."
This adjustment allows players to finish any remaining tasks with no increase in difficulty, providing an opportunity for trophy collectors and completionists. More modifications for the NG+ mode are tipped to arrive in another update planned for October 26.
Furthermore, Hexworks revealed it is designing the "NG+ modifier system", permitting players to tailor their NG+ experience, including implementing fun features like a "hardcore" mode and various randomizers. The full set of features is yet to be decided, with a probable release slated for the end of the year.
This patch also addresses enemy density, improving the 'leashing system' that restricts how far enemies will chase players from their spawning point. Hexworks is also launching an update on crossplay for consoles and all platforms soon, all the while continuing to make enhancements to GPU stability after numerous complaints from players since the game's launch.
