After a bumpy start, it seems that the video game Payday 3 has sorted out its server problems. This popular game, developed by Starbreeze, launched on 21st September and soon experienced major server issues that made it virtually unplayable for many gamers. Despite trying to amend these problems, the game continued to struggle.
However, the company recently announced that scheduled maintenance managed to resolve the initial matchmaking difficulties. This reparation seems to be holding steady and functioning well. It's certainly good news, especially considering that Payday 3 has reportedly attracted over three million players already in September alone.
Still, it's unclear how many of these players stayed on to witness the fixing of the game's matchmaking issues. Nonetheless, the fact that the game is available on Game Pass means it will likely continue to gain more users.
Additional planned improvements were highlighted in the press release, including over 200 quality of life enhancements across all platforms coming in October. More improvements are also set to come in November, as well as new content and functionalities, although they didn't spell out specifics. Furthermore, the DLC pack "Syntax Error" is expected to be released later this winter.
Tobias Sjögren, Starbreeze CEO, thanked players for their patience and reassured them that Payday 3 will be improved and built upon moving forward. Payday 3 is currently available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
