Persona 5 smashes 10M sales, tactical triumph

The Persona 5 series has reached a new milestone, surpassing over 10 million units sold. This surge in sales comes after the release of the latest game in the franchise, Persona 5 Tactica, in November 2023. Atlus celebrated the achievement with a special illustration by series artist Shigenori Soejima. The Persona 5 series, which includes several spin-offs such as Dancing in the Starlight, Royal, Stikers, and Tactica, has seen immense popularity, with Persona 5 Tactica being highly praised for its grid-based battle system.

Building upon this success, Atlus is set to release a remake of Persona 3 called Persona 3: Reload on February 2, 2024. This version is a complete overhaul of the original, boasting new voice actors, enhanced graphics, and a modernized gameplay experience, aimed to cater to both fans and newcomers to the series.

Persona 5's popularity stems from its deep story, compelling characters, unique art style, and a satisfying mix of JRPG and life simulation gameplay elements. The game's ability to resonate with a wide audience through relatable themes and its immersive world-building contributes significantly to its broad appeal.
