Pete Hines, the former senior vice president of global marketing and communications for Bethesda, is retiring after an extensive 24-year run in the company. This news was announced recently by both Bethesda and Hines.

"Pete's public persona was just a small part of his role at Bethesda. The manner in which he represented us permeated the values he cherished here: authenticity, integrity, and passion," Bethesda stated.

Born in 1970, Hines has decided to pursue his interests and passions in retirement. He mentioned that it was a challenging decision to make, but the release of Starfield was the right moment to make his exit. Hines has been an influential player at Bethesda since joining in 1999 as part of the marketing team.

Over the years, he and Todd Howard had emerged as the faces of the company, which Microsoft acquired last year.

The surprising departures this week include John Riccitiello stepping down from Unity, and Bobby Kotick leaving his position at Blizzard, and now Hines' departure from Bethesda has made it a full house.
