Physical Version of Marvel Spider-Man 2 Faces Installation Issues

Oct 22, 2023 1:00 PM
Physical version of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 faces installation issues, mainly reported by gamers in Europe.

Players, particularly in Europe, are struggling to install the physical copy of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 on PlayStation 5, with installation often freezing at 36%. This appears to be an unprecedented issue, pointing towards a problem with the game rather than the console. So far, no solution is known, and neither PlayStation nor the game developer Insomniac Games have responded.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 was released last Friday on PlayStation 5 starring both Peter Parker and Miles Morales as key characters in the game, allowing players to switch between the two heroes. Not only is Manhattan available for exploration but also Queens and Brooklyn. The game earned an 8/10 rating by Erik Nusselder, citing it as a "sequel by the book" that delivered more of what worked well in the previous parts. However, a lack of surprise as a result of safe choices by Insomniac was noted.

Insomniac has further announced that a New Game Plus and the option to replay missions will be added to the game through an update at a later point.
