Niantic has announced the introduction of a new competitive feature to its game, Pokémon Go, in celebration of its 7th anniversary. The feature, known as PokéStop Showcase, will allow players to compete using a Pokémon with particular stats at specific PokéStops.

During a competition, players pit their Pokémon with similar stats against each other. The Pokémon that takes the lead will always be the one linked to the current event, with a maximum of 200 Pokémon participating per competition.

In the middle of the competition, if players believe that another Pokémon has better stats, they can switch out their current Pokémon. The first PokéStop Showcase will spotlight Squirtle. In this showcase, the player with the most formidable Squirtle will emerge as the winner.

The inclusion of Squirtle will be a highlight and an incentive for players to celebrate Pokémon Go's 7th anniversary party, igniting the competitive spirit within them.
