Quidditch Game Unveiled at Summer Games Fest 2024

WB Games and Unbroken Studios have announced "Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions," a new game focused entirely on the beloved sport from the Harry Potter universe. Revealed at Summer Games Fest, the game will be released on September 3 for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Steam, and Epic Games Store. PlayStation Plus members will have free access from September 3 to September 30. The game features solo play, co-op online matches, and competitive online play, allowing players to choose positions like Beater, Chaser, Keeper, or Seeker. The announcement follows the 2003 game "Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup," which received mixed reviews for its fun but shallow gameplay.

"Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions" will offer solo play, co-op online matches with friends, and competitive online play, allowing players to experience the magical sport in various ways.

Launched in 2003, "Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup" was the first game dedicated solely to Quidditch. Although it received a 7.2 out of 10 from IGN, the game was considered a fun yet somewhat shallow representation of the sport. The new game aims to provide a more immersive and authentic Quidditch experience for fans.
