The PlayStation 5 is set to welcome the second part of the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth trilogy on February 29, 2024. As announced in a new trailer unveiled during the State of Play on September 14, gamers can look forward to continuing the journey of Cloud and his friends as they explore beyond the boundaries of Midgar.

The characters will traverse diverse landscapes, including vast grasslands, which they can navigate on a Chocobo, according to Square Enix, the game's publisher.

The sequel, picking up from where Final Fantasy 7 Remake left off, will also feature the infamous villain Sephiroth. The game will come in two discs, highlighting its expansive content.

With the rise in Final Fantasy releases, fans were treated earlier this year to Final Fantasy 16.
