"Rockstar Confirms Grand Theft Auto 6 Trailer Due December Start"

Nov 08, 2023 2:16 PM

Rockstar Games has confirmed that the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 will be released in early December. This announcement comes as Rockstar is about to celebrate its 25th anniversary. Sam Houser, the founder of Rockstar, expressed gratitude to the global gaming community for their support, which has allowed them to be passionate about creating games.

The message from Houser highlighted the company's vision of making video games as essential to culture as any other form of entertainment, with hopes that their games have contributed to this cultural evolution. Though not specifying a date for the trailer release, it was pointed out that The Game Awards, which air on December 7th, often feature trailers for upcoming games and could be a potential platform for the GTA 6 trailer reveal. However, GTA is significant enough potentially to have an independent reveal event.

Speculation and rumors about GTA 6 intensified following comments from journalist Jason Schreier about an imminent game announcement and a December trailer. Last year, Rockstar acknowledged it was working on a new installment in the Grand Theft Auto series but did not provide further details. Leaked early game footage indicated the game might include both a male and female protagonist and be set in Vice City (Miami).

As of now, no specific release date for Grand Theft Auto 6 has been announced. However, Take-Two Interactive, the game's publisher, hinted at releasing “groundbreaking games” between April 2024 and March 2025. More information and rumors about Grand Theft Auto 6 can be sought after for those interested in further details.
