In the latest gaming update, Rocksteady Studios comforts fans by announcing that "Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League" will eventually have an offline mode made available post-launch, targeting 2024 for the update. This news comes as a relief to players who were concerned about the game's initially confirmed always-online requirement, even in single-player mode. Rocksteady revealed the offline mode development in the game's official Discord channel, addressing the backlash received after disclosing its live-service game structure during a State of Play earlier this year.

The backlash stems from the game's shift from the expected standalone title, like its predecessors in the Batman: Arkham series, to a game that continuously evolves over time. Moreover, fans received a closer look at "Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League" during the 2023 Game Awards with a new trailer, and learned that the game's Metropolis will be double the size of Gotham City from "Batman: Arkham Knight". After a series of delays, the title is now scheduled to release on February 2, 2024, and will be available on PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S.
