Salt and Sacrifice is coming to Steam and Switch in November

Oct 21, 2023 11:32 AM

The Soulslike platformer game, "Salt and Sacrifice," is set to make its arrival on streaming platform Steam and on the gaming console Nintendo Switch on November 7. This announcement was made earlier this week by game developers Ska Studios and Devoured Studios. Already available on Epic Games Store and PlayStation consoles (specifically PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4) since Spring 2022, "Salt and Sacrifice" is the sequel to "Salt and Sanctuary."

In this game, criminals in Alterstone Kingdom have to choose between facing capital punishment or serving their sentence by working for the government. Some of these criminals opt to serve the government as Marked Inquisitors, tasked with the responsibility of hunting down wizards. There are eight different classes for players to choose from - Highblade, Paladin, Assassin, Cleric, Dualist, Fighter, Ranger, or Sage - and partake in the Magebane Rite. This rite leaves characters Spellmarked, entering a state that hovers between life and death.

During the gameplay, players explore dismal villages, tombs, and swamps, further encountering 20 different types of wizards to hunt. The game also features grappling hooks for swift movement through settings, with the ability to create new weapons and tools using Runic Arts. Players can play the game solo or enjoy it as a drop-in drop-out co-op.

He plays on pretty much every system, but has a soft spot for "The Legend of Zelda" and "Hollow Knight." He eagerly anticipates the unlikely release of a new Wave Race.n
