Sony donates 2 million dollars for humanitarian aid in Israel and Gaza

Sony pledges a $2 million donation for humanitarian assistance in Israel and Gaza, roughly equivalent to €1.9 million. The company announced that its contribution will be divided between the Red Cross and UNICEF. In addition, Sony is also committing to match the amounts its employees choose to donate. In a statement, the company reaffirms its respect and support for human rights, strongly condemned terrorism, violence against civilians, hatred, and any other behavior threatening human life, livelihood, and dignity, expressing its hopes for peace in the region.
In related news, game publisher Devolver Digital has also donated an undisclosed amount to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), which provides humanitarian assistance to Palestinian families. The publisher is encouraging its social media followers to likewise donate.
