There's a bit of drama going on, guys, because Sony is checking out a claim that they've been hacked by a ransomware group. Sounds like something from a spy movie, right?

Basically, the guys at Sony told IGN, another gaming news site, "We're checking this all out, but we don't have anything to say right now."

Earlier this week, this ransomware group that calls themselves Ransomed.vc, claimed they'd hacked Sony. In a rather braggadocious moment, they said, "We've successfully accessed all Sony systems." Whoa, right? But here's the kicker, no one has a clue what they mean by "all Sony systems."

They've also threatened to sell the data because Sony won't shell out the cash they're demanding. They've even set a deadline for September 28th - rumor has it if no one buys the data, they might just dump it all online.

You guys remember back in 2011 when Sony got hacked? When the personal information of 77 million PlayStation Network users got leaked and PSN had to go dark for 23 days? Sony even had to apologize publicly. Now, we're all waiting to see what happens next with this new possible drama.

In the meantime, try not to worry too much and keep gaming on!
