Sony Reveals Astro Bot's Speedrun Levels and Bot Release Dates

Starting October 17, free post-launch speedrun levels will be introduced weekly, beginning with the “Building Speed” level. In this level, players, assisted by a new character named Barkster, will navigate through challenging environments, including a towering cityscape. Each new speedrun level will come with two unique Special Bots to rescue and introduce an online leaderboard for players to compete with friends.
The full release schedule includes five levels, with new content dropping every Thursday until November 14. Team Asobi's studio director hinted at additional surprises coming down the line after the current schedule concludes. Despite including numerous bot cameos from PlayStation's history, notable characters from the Final Fantasy franchise were reportedly omitted due to creative and licensing decisions.
