Activision has disclosed details regarding the forthcoming sixth season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0. Notably, the games are set to feature operators based on Spawn and Diablo and have a Halloween event slated.
The 6th season's battle pass will include one hundred tiers of content, one of which includes Spawn as a playable operator. On buying the battle pass, players immediately unlock Al Simmons, aka the 'standard' edition of Spawn. New weapons such as the TR-76 Geist assault rifle, ISO 9mm submachine gun, and Dual Kamas melee weapons can be unlocked. The Doom Chainsaw can be bought in a bundle midway through the season. Additional bundles will focus on Lilith and Inarius from Diablo, Skeletor from Masters of the Universe, Alucard from Hellsing, and Ash Williams from Evil Dead.
Both Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer and Warzone 2 are slated to feature 'The Haunting' event, bringing Halloween-themed additions to the maps. Warzone is also planning an event for Al Mazrah, called 'Operation Nightmare', where players battle monsters.
At the season's start, the Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer is adding two standard 6v6 maps (La Casa and Koro Village) and two Gunfight maps (King and Fight). Mid-season, Al Asilo and Embassy would adopt a ghost theme.
More details can be found on the official website. The sixth season kicks off next Wednesday. Work is also ongoing on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, set to launch on 10th November.
