Spider-Man 2 developer, Insomniac Games, made a notable error in their recent release, which fans were quick to point out. A Reddit user, TheHouselessTurtle, noticed an incongruity in the game: the placement of a Cuban flag in the apartment of the game character, Miles Morales and his mother Rio, who are Puerto Ricans. This triggered a flurry of reactions on social media, where other players also shared their observations of the mismatched flag.
The Cuban and Puerto Rican flags have similarities, yet distinctly differ in their color schemes. Acknowledging the clear mistake, James Stevenson, Director of Community and Marketing at Insomniac, assured a prompt rectification, tweeting, "Fix is coming for that." This was not the only peculiar detail noticed by players. Spider-Man 2 also features a tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman, best known for his portrayal of Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Despite these minor blips, the game remains popular, with a core combat and web-swinging formula, replete with additional capabilities for heightened enjoyment. The expansive game world of New York City, however, has received mixed reviews, with some players suggesting the need for a radical revisiting of the game's mostly repetitive side activities.
