Feb 15, 2024 8:42 AM

Square Enix is set to release an update for the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth-demo on PlayStation 5, which will not only incorporate new content but also significantly enhance the graphics, particularly in the game's Performance mode. The update, expected to go live on February 21, aims to raise the visual fidelity when the Performance mode is opted for, allowing the game to run at 60 frames per second, as opposed to the Graphics mode, which prioritizes a 4K resolution. In addition to the Nibelheim section that is currently playable in the current version of the demo, the upcoming update will add the Junon section, giving players more exploration freedom. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is the second installment of the Final Fantasy 7 remake and is scheduled to release on February 29 exclusively for PlayStation 5.

What improvements will the new update bring to the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth demo on PS5?

The new update for the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth demo on PlayStation 5 is set to introduce enhancements to the game's graphics in Performance mode, which includes a smoother frame rate of 60 fps, as well as new content that expands the playable areas within the game.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth continues the narrative from the first part of the Final Fantasy 7 remake, where the protagonists leave the city of Midgar to embark on new adventures in the open world. Final Fantasy 7, originally released in 1997, is considered one of the most influential RPGs of all time and its ongoing remake, split across multiple parts, has been a highly anticipated project for both long-time fans and newcomers to the series.
