Exciting news for "Stardew Valley" fans! Developer Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone has shared some details about the game's upcoming 1.6 update. This new update allows up to eight players in multiplayer mode and introduces new content, such as a major festival, two mini-festivals, increased late-game developments, and new items. The update also includes a fresh type of reward for completing billboard requests, over 100 additional lines of content, and stylish winter outfits for the in-game villagers.
Without a specific release date, the 1.6 update was initially introduced in June 2022. Its predecessor, the 1.5 version, was released back in December 2020 and expanded the Stardew universe with features like split-screen multiplayer mode, additional NPCs, more riddles to solve, and new areas for farming.
As for the "Stardew Valley" game itself, it has seen enormous success, selling over 20 million copies across various platforms since its first release in 2016. Out of these sales, PC holds the largest share with 13 million copies sold. The next game that ConcernedApe is developing, "Haunted Chocolatier," will bring an exciting shift with elements like boss fights and shop management. If you enjoy gathering ingredients and making chocolate, this new game sounds like it's for you. It's still in early development but aims to release on multiple platforms.
