New drivers for Nvidia's graphics processing units (GPU) that improve performance on major games, such as Starfield, Mortal Kombat 1, and Lies of P, have been officially launched. Although these updates were expected to align with the games' releases, the drivers for Starfield were noticeably delayed.
These upgraded drivers, version 537.34, have finally become available to enhance the gameplay experience for GeForce GPU users. It's been reported that Starfield struggled to perform well on Nvidia GPUs - lagging behind AMD's performance. Still, the newly released drivers promise to rectify these issues, even claiming to increase the framerate on RTX 30 and 40 Series GPUs. Particularly, 40 Series GPUs could see a slight 5% improvement in performance.
In addition, these updated drivers introduce a feature called Resizable BAR for Starfield, which should help boost game performance without any input needed from players besides installing the updates.
Upcoming games like Mortal Kombat 1 and Lies of P, which support DLSS 2 Super Resolution, will also benefit from these new drivers, offering a boosted gameplay experience. Moreover, other games like Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon, Immortals of Aveum, and The Texas Chain Saw Massacre will now be integrated into the GeForce Experience's Optimal Settings feature for ideal gameplay. Plus, six new G-SYNC compatible monitors have been validated under this update.
Overall, it seems Nvidia is actively working to enhance gameplay for its users by consistently updating and improving its drivers. It's clear that with these updates, GeForce GPU users can look forward to improved performance and experience in future games.
