Shrek fans have a unique opportunity to stay in a reproduction of the character's swamp, thanks to Airbnb.

Located in the Scottish Highlands, the accommodation closely mirrors the residence from the 2001 film, complete with 'beware' signs, earwax candles, Shrek's recliner chair, and more. A select number of guests will be able to book a two-night stay from October 27-29, free of charge, though they will be responsible for their own travel expenses.

As part of this promotion, Airbnb will be making a one-time donation to HopScotch Children's Charity. The hosting duties are humorously claimed to be done by Shrek's sidekick, Donkey, and guests can look forward to enjoying waffles.

This immersive experience is part of Airbnb's campaign to offer guests the chance to live in residences inspired by iconic movies and locations. Previously, loyal fans could book stays at a real-life Barbie Dreamhouse, the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air's mansion, and even the last standing Blockbuster.
