Stellar Blade Launches on PC in 2025, Dev Expects Higher Sales

Nov 13, 2024 9:42 AM

Stellar Blade, the action game launched exclusively for PS5, is set to arrive on PC in 2025. Developer Shift Up announced this move following the success of Black Myth: Wukong on Steam, predicting that PC sales will surpass those on the console. Despite achieving over one million copies sold within two months, Stellar Blade received mixed reviews, scoring 7/10 from IGN due to its weak story and RPG elements. In a recent financial report, Shift Up indicated that the game generated approximately $34.6 million since its launch and plans to maintain interest with continuous content updates leading up to its PC release.

nWill Stellar Blade be successful on PC?

Given the developer's expectations for stronger sales on PC than PS5, along with the success of similar titles on the platform, there is a strong possibility that Stellar Blade will perform well upon its 2025 launch. The continued support with updates and crossovers may also help maintain player interest.

Stellar Blade, formerly known as Project Eve, is notable for its action-packed combat and stunning visuals, influenced by high-quality anime aesthetics. The game has been in development for several years and signifies Shift Up's push into the console and PC gaming market. The anticipation surrounding its upcoming PC version reflects growing trends in the gaming industry, encouraging increased platform accessibility and larger player bases.
