Suicide Squad game transforms Poison Ivy

Dec 20, 2023 8:26 PM

In the latest update from Rocksteady Studios concerning their upcoming title "Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League," a brand-new rendition of the DC villain Poison Ivy is unveiled. This iteration of Poison Ivy is drastically different from her traditional portrayal, featuring her as a young child with overpowering genetic engineering powers. According to Rocksteady, this change stems from the end of "Arkham Knight," where after her death, a small sprout was left that has since been nurtured by nefarious forces leading to Ivy's current state.

Alongside the reveal, new gameplay videos were released showing the Suicide Squad in action, specifically tracking down Poison Ivy. The gameplay emphasizes various traversal mechanics, and character interactions hint at the depth of the story involving Ivy's unconventional transformation. Reaction to Poison Ivy's redesign has been mixed amongst fans, with some expressing discomfort or confusion over her younger appearance.

Despite several delays, anticipation for "Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League" remains high. The game features single-player and multiplayer elements with a confirmed offline mode after launch. The game, initially set for a February 2 release, has had its Epic Games Store version pushed to March 2024. Fans can still mark their calendars for the release on PS5, Xbox, and Steam to experience Rocksteady's latest venture into the DC Universe.
