Jun 08, 2025 5:18 PM

Super Meat Boy 3D has officially been announced for an early 2026 release during the recent Xbox Games Showcase. This new installment transitions from its classic 2D platforming roots into a full 3D environment, promising fast-paced action and gory gameplay reminiscent of the original series. Players will control Meat Boy as he navigates treacherous obstacle courses filled with deadly machines, showcasing tight jumping mechanics and unique slide physics. The first Super Meat Boy debuted in 2008, created by Edmund McMillen and Jonathan McEntee, becoming a beloved title for its challenging gameplay and quick respawn feature. Although Super Meat Boy Forever was released in 2020 without McMillen’s involvement, it's still unclear if he will be a part of this latest sequel. Notably, a mysterious green Mario warp pipe made an unexpected appearance in the trailer, raising questions about potential cross-overs or hidden nods, despite there being no Nintendo platform announced.

When is Super Meat Boy 3D scheduled for release?
