Tetris van NES komt in december naar Nintendo Switch Online

Nintendo has announced that the NES version of Tetris will be added to the Nintendo Switch Online library on December 12, 2024. This classic puzzle game includes A-Type and B-Type modes. In A-Type, players aim for the highest score by clearing lines before the blocks reach the top of the screen. Meanwhile, B-Type starts the player with blocks already set at a specific height, requiring them to clear 25 lines before encountering a Game Over. This addition continues the trend of bringing retro titles to the Switch Online platform, which recently saw the inclusion of Donkey Kong Land and Donkey Kong Land 2.

Tetris, originally released in 1984, has become one of the most iconic video games in history. Its simple yet addictive gameplay has transcended decades, making it a staple in the gaming community. The NES version, which debuted in 1989, is fondly remembered by fans and represents a significant moment in gaming history as it popularized puzzle games globally.
