The company's CFO announced in their Q3 2023 financial results video that the majority of their development team is hard at work on a new Witcher game trilogy, starting with its first installment dubbed “Polaris.” With over 330 people dedicated to the project, which is currently in pre-production, the team size is expected to increase to over 400 by next year. Polaris is intended to be the foundation for two additional titles, aiming for a release schedule within six years of Polaris's debut.
Additionally, CD Projekt Red is expanding The Witcher universe with other projects. Project Sirius, developed by The Flame in the Flood studio, Molasses Flood, promises to bring multiplayer elements alongside a traditional single-player campaign. The Witcher Remake is another exciting project, under the studio Fool’s Theory—home to veteran staff of The Witcher series; this project tracks back to the originally announced Project Canis Majoris.
