Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2 can now be played offline on Steam Deck

Oct 19, 2023 4:39 PM
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2, after an update for its Steam version, can now be played without an internet connection on the Steam Deck. The game, beloved for its smooth gameplay, playful levels, and energetic soundtracks, originally released on Epic Games Store and consoles, and finally on Steam on October 3rd. However, desktop gamers will still require an internet connection while playing.

Notably, this internet connection requirement was an issue for Steam Deck players, as the device is designed for portable use, where an internet connection might not always be available. Proactively addressing this issue, an update has been rolled-out allowing the players to enjoy the game offline on Steam Deck.

Furthermore, the game, relaunched in 2020 on platforms such as PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Epic Games Store, and in 2021 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch, is a nostalgic feast with components like levels, skaters, and music from the first two Tony Hawk games, along with some new tracks and skaters.

Reviewer Ron Vorstermans sums it up enthusiastically: "Have you played the original? Buy! Haven't you played the original? Buy!".
