Ubisoft has announced delays for their game, Skull and Bones. Intended for release in the first quarter of 2024, Skull and Bones has experienced multiple delays since its initial announcement in 2013, partially due to its funding from the Singapore government where it is being developed.
Another undisclosed major game has been delayed by Ubisoft, originally intended for release before March 31, 2024. Fans speculate that this might be the previously announced Star Wars: Outlaws, although this has not been confirmed by Ubisoft.
Despite these delays, Ubisoft is still set to release multiple games within the fiscal year ending on March 31, 2024, including Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, Assassin's Creed Nexus VR, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Just Dance 2024, and free-to-play games The Division Resurgence, XDefiant and Rainbow Six Mobile.
As part of a cost-cutting plan, the company reduced its workforce by 1300 between September 2022 and September 2023, but the specifics regarding layoffs or voluntary departures have not been clarified.
