Ubisoft announced the shutting down of more online services for some of its older games including Assassin's Creed 2 and Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, slated for January 2024

Reported by Eurogamer, Ubisoft explained the "decommissioning" of these game's online services was due to outdated technology. This will take effect on 25th January 2024

Other games affected include Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, Splinter Cell: Conviction, and Trials Evolution

As a consequence, players will no longer be able to access multiplayer, link Ubisoft accounts in-game, use online features, or collect Ubisoft Connect rewards.

Ubisoft had previously disabled online services for some of its older games, with this recent announcement affecting a different platform

Among the games affected include: Assassin's Creed 2 on Xbox 360, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood on Mac, Assassin's Creed Liberation HD on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Assassin's Creed Revelations on PC, Ghost Recon Future Soldier on PC, Heroes of Might and Magic 6 on PC, NCSI on PC, Splinter Cell: Conviction on Xbox 360, R.U.S.E. on PC, and Trials Evolution on PC.
